  We love the bank. We’ve been with them ten years. However the lady over the house loans or mortgage department was so rude when we went an she gave us the wrong information to sum it up. She made us feel like we were so below her. She was snobby an we did not feel comfortable at all. I highly recommend going to someone else.

  Do NOT use SouthState Bank for any/all investment services. My mother passed away recently and she had significant amount of money invested with South State bank investment services - LPL Financial both an IRA and an investment TOD account. This is a horrible firm to invest with. I provided Brian with my mother's death certificate and checked in a month later and he had done nothing to initiate the beneficiary process. He promised to get me the forms, and a 10 days later still nothing. I then started the process with LPL customer service. The forms are overly complicated, requiring 5-10 days (so they say) for LPL to process. Just a note, it always took 10 days or more. But then there would always be something wrong with the forms so I would have to redo them and again taking 10 more days to process. Then they messed up the distribution of the investment account and only corrected it because I had the final statement and beneficiary form/distributions. Here we are 5 months later and the process is still not complete. Just a note here - all the other financial and life insurance firms completed there distributions between 1 to 8 weeks. LPL is TERRIBLE. Don't use them unless you absolutely hate your beneficiaries.

  Best bank we have ever used for simple banking and for purchasing vehicles or homes. The staff are pleasant and accommodating.
