I walked in cold to this branch at the recommendation of another bank to open new accounts. I made my needs clear with Georgia G., about how important customer service was to me. So many aspects of what was to have happened after I left were missed including how their finance person was to have contacted me and that Georgia called me early the following Saturday morning on a recorded phone line, could not answer specific questions, and I got so frustrated I asked that we hang up the phone and continue in the future. I have never heard from Georgia again. Also I found out in that interim that PnC was offering new customers like me $400 to open a new account and Georgia not once mentioned this promotion.
R. Nick V., VP and Financial Advisor at this branch and the one who allegedly did not receive the way I requested from Georgia on how I wanted to be followed up with as ultimately I sought to become one of PnC's Private Clients followed up his voicemails with an email that has seven (7) question marks that no professional communication would ever contain... directed at me but not grounded at anything... horribly unprofessional. But it gets worse. I just ignored this "pair" (Georgia and R. Nick V.) to see if things might change with time.
I took a call from Nick about two weeks ago and thought that call went well. I told him all of my concerns and he told me he would address them all. But instead of addressing those concerns or even following up with me at all, he submitted a complaint in my name (something I did not request or initiate though what happened to me certainly was "complainable") and I received a customer service call where that PnC broke California State Law when, on that mandate recorded call, unilaterally disconnected the call when I told her that I too was recording the call that her company PnC was recording.
I never heard again from R. Nick V. nor did he do one thing that he stated that he would do when he called me two weeks ago and he initiated this complaint in my name that I never requested. This is what you will get if their treatment of me is typical, and I have zero reason to expect I am any different than any other customer of PnC.
It is completely remarkable that I would come in, spend the time I did, be manipulated with the mistruth as I was by the two principals as I was by Georgia G. and R. Nick V. (a bank VP) and neither one follow up appropriately with any modicum of respect, and at the same time engage in behaviors that are filled with egregious disrespect.
PnC: do not respond to this review with any sort of apology. I have had interactions with five of your employees and I opened my accounts on 20June and today is 05Aug, some 45 days ago. Five employees over 45 days and if PnC was to take responsibility for that which your bank has consistently subjected me, you would have done so by now. PnC's window to take such responsibility is over, therefore, any other words are weeks late, so much of my time wasted, and such disrespect already in stone. Nick, one of your Vice Presidents, had his opportunity, reestablished, and has since ignored me... again. You are not seeking customers, you are seeking lemmings to benefit PNC at the customer's own expense. Why are you even in business, PNC?
Update 03Sep2024: After a month, I finally have had enough. I called and spoke with the branch manager and now understand. In the few minutes I spoke with him I heard nothing but defense, excuses and him say "I'm sorry" or "I apologize" about ten times on a recorded line. I called to close my account. He stated that under no circumstances despite what might be advertised ($400 account opening promotion), can an employee offer what is advertised or can what PNC advertises happen after the fact. This is not what VP Nick stated in our recorded phone call or what was alluded to in an email from the assistant GM a few weeks ago. PNC does not see customers and does not allow its employees to see customers, just spout nonsense about such.
