Went into the branch to make a withdrawal to go around to yard sales and pick up some FB Marketplace items. I noticed the teller "Mare." Had a long line of people and no other employees around. Mare was thumbling with simple task and messing up people transactions I overheard her saying "opps." More than once. Including when I eventually was at the counter. I ask for my withdrawal amount. She said she has to go to the vault. Came back said she can't access it. I changed the amount in denominations she said they are out of those items. Literally got down to "nickel & diming" and I mentioned that I will bring in alot of rolled coins if they are out of pennies I happen to have few stacks. This is when my encounter got awkward. Mare informed me that they do not accept coins. [*Internal monolog* just said you don't have any or others are in the vault] I asked if my money is not good enough to make deposits? She said there's no space. I asked is that what all that banging going on? Putting in a vault? She said no they took it out and replaced with tiny one. So, I mentioned probably run that up the flag pole. She went all melancholy about how PNC doesn't care. So. I said to help out I will reinforce the issue so people can deposit their money as the term "bank." Is for I'll call corporate and recommend 20 cubic foot floor safe installed solely for customer rolled coins. The doesnt take up space being the size of a dorm mini fridge only few hundred dollars and could hold few hundred trays of coins. Mare was not happy I had a logical fix to her comment. She told me she has to report me for having a compliant. I asked what she was talking about. I don't have a complaint. This spiraled into my feeling like I was being a school teacher by breaking down the definition of "complaint" vs recommendation "feedback" aka problem solving. She then was telling me PNC doesn't hesitate to close out customers accounts who make complaints 🙄. I'm so lost in this conversation that I feel like I'm being Punk'd by Ashton Kutcher and their teller station looked like a stage set just for a gag with the room with shallow wall perfect for surprise ambush. I explained if any business feels that a client , customer or patron who provides feedback, constructive critism or complaints to a company and than retailated against by deactivate their accounts, access. Etc. That's not a company I would ethically want to support. They would be painting a target on themselves to be reported to BBB and other consumer protection agencies and so forth. She then said that comment is a threat. I swear a did a double take head wobble hearing that. I had to ask if she was "OK" fear she might be having mini strokes with the nonsense that I am hearing and all the mistakes she was making with back & forth drawers and handling the withdraws. I didn't go to law school to let anyone especially someone with access to my financial accounts not to know the difference between " admonition" vs "threat" making very wary about the competence of these employees. Which is a complete contrast to literally other PNC branches ive visited literally was talking about quantum mechanics with one of the tellers at the White Oak branch, or World travel adventures with another from Monroeville. This encounter left me with two take aways that needs corrected to bring back trust. 1st) Terminate any employee caught manipulating customers with misleading and incorrect information to policies which clearly constructed to fester laziness in tellers duties and ultimately self sabotaging the corporate bottom line through poor customer service and isolation 2nd) Install an extra floor vault for overflow of rolled coins. 3rd) Put money pouches on the order form and allow all customers to get at least one upon request. Until those happen. This is a branch to be Excommunicado from any business encounter. Loans, refinance, etc should be conducted at White Oak or West Mifflin location at least were the employees seem happy to be at work and understand customer service.

Rude to customers, bank gossips about customers while in the bank. PNC also has rude staff, keep your money out of this bank and save yourself the games they play with customers.
