- BPBeth PartridgeJan 3, 20265.0We had been using an online bank for many years without any problem. However, it makes cashing a check a little difficult. We decided to open a checking account at First Interstate. David Smith was so incredibly helpful. Even with the couple of little hiccups (not their fault) that we had, it was a smooth and easy transaction. Everyone there was very friendly.
- AHAlyssa HallAug 13, 20241.0Constant issues the whole 8 years I was there. I tried giving them a chance but their online banking is a joke and so many hidden fees. I closed my account and they let a charge go through so they could charge me the overdraft fee.
- DSDr SteamJul 28, 20171.0No longer Bank of the Cascades. First Interstate Bank acquired them. Already have closed branches (Salem) and laid off staff. First Interstate Bank sent out mortgage demand letters in error to people who did not have mortgage loans with Bank of the Cascades. BOC customers first told during transition they would not need to buy new checks or change account numbers for a year, only to send out letters in July 2017 saying account numbers will be changed effective Aug 12, 2017 (therefore my checks are no good). We are done. Hello MAPS Credit Union.
