  Always great service from the asst manager Jimmy. My family has Banked here for decades and people like him are the reason. He helped my family and niece through some painful family issues and made it as painless as possible, Him and his manager Alexander are a credit to this banking institution.

  I went into the Ridgewood Savings bank on McClean Avenue, Yonkers NY for a replacement bank card. Due to recent knee replacement surgery, I chose to stand with one crutch to avoid the hardship of sitting and standing up again in the designated waiting area. All four desk were occupied by bank employees (two male and two females). Two bankers were helping customers. The others pretended to be busy waiting on NOBODY. The older bald male after while came over and ask how "What could he help me with today". I responded I needed to replace my card and make a deposit. He returned to his seat and left me waiting. After time I left the Bank respectfully and annoyed by the Branch unprofessionalism and Laziness. I hope they read this review and become more attentive especially when there's four customers inside the entire Bank. Meanwhile I'm considering CLOSING my accounts and my Son's as well.

  I have been using Ridgewood of Yonkers as my neighborhood bank for the past few years. Recently, I received prompt customer service when I needed to update financials. Marsha assisted me during my visit—she was courteous, professional, and efficient. She was able to help me within a few minutes and even recommended an account with higher interest rates, which could help earn more money over time. Marsha also showed me how to use the Ridgewood app, including transferring money between accounts, and provided information about obtaining a bank card. Overall, I am satisfied with the service at this branch and have found the staff and clientele to be pleasant to work with.

  Absolutely Unacceptable I’ve been a loyal Ridgewood customer since I was 14 years old — nearly two decades — and today’s experience at this branch was by far the worst I’ve ever had with any bank. This is only my second time at this location, which I chose because it’s the closest to my job. I came in to make a simple withdrawal with my ID. The teller asked for the last four digits of my social — fine. Then my mother’s maiden name — fine. Next thing I know, they’re calling over a manager to question me about my own money. I overheard the manager admit under his breath that everything matched. And yet, I was still made to sign again because my signature supposedly didn’t match — even though I signed it exactly the same way. It took three employees to let me withdraw a small amount of my own funds. I don’t know if Soma’s disrespectful attitude was because I’m Black, because I’m a woman, or both — but I left feeling completely humiliated and disrespected by the people at my home branch. Ridgewood seriously needs to train its staff to treat loyal customers with decency and basic respect instead of acting like gatekeepers of money that does not belong to them. Do better — or you’ll keep losing people like me who’ve trusted you for nearly twenty years.
