Albert was amazing. My family and I came in for a home equity loan and he answered all our questions and made us feel confident in our decision.

The customer service at Jovia Financial Credit Union has been extremely disappointing. There appears to be a lack of effective communication, accountability, and urgency when it comes to helping customers resolve their concerns. Customers should not have to make repeated calls or wait extended periods for updates on issues that could be handled more efficiently.
Jovia needs to invest in better staffing, stronger customer service training, and improved communication between departments. Every customer deserves to be treated with professionalism, respect, and empathy, especially when they are experiencing banking issues.
A financial institution’s reputation is built on trust and the quality of service it provides. Unfortunately, my experience has shown significant room for improvement in customer care, problem resolution, and overall communication. I sincerely hope Jovia takes customer feedback seriously and makes the necessary changes to improve the experience for both current and future members.

As a long-time customer, I expected Jovia Financial Credit Union to value loyalty and work with me to resolve banking issues. Instead, I was left feeling like my concerns didn’t matter. Rather than taking the time to find practical solutions or make banking easier for long-standing members, it seemed easier for them to lose a loyal customer than provide meaningful assistance.
Good customer service isn’t just about opening accounts—it’s about standing by your members when problems arise. Long-term customers deserve respect, communication, and a genuine effort to resolve issues. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Jovia.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend banking with Jovia Financial Credit Union. If you’re looking for a financial institution that values customer relationships and is committed to resolving problems, you may want to consider other options. A bank or credit union should make banking easier, not more frustrating.

I have both a checking and savings account with Jovia, and I also have a $500 personal loan. Due to a temporary gap in employment, I fell behind on my loan payments while waiting to return to work.
When Joanne called regarding my past-due balance, I explained my financial hardship and informed her that I had secured a new job and that my paycheck would soon begin being deposited into my Jovia checking account through direct deposit. She stated she would make a note of my situation. A few days later, another representative called, and I provided the same explanation, including that I had already spoken with Joanne.
Without any notice or warning, Jovia restricted my account. As a result, when my paycheck was directly deposited, I was unable to access my money, and the funds were not automatically applied toward my loan balance.
On June 26, 2026, at approximately 4:58 p.m., I spoke with Joanne again and asked if the money being deposited into my account could be applied toward my loan. Since my paychecks would be deposited weekly, I requested that those deposits be used to reduce my past-due balance of $219. Joanne informed me that this would not happen automatically and that I would have to call her each time a paycheck was deposited for the funds to be applied to my loan. She also stated that while my account remained restricted, I would not have access to any money deposited into it.
I believe Jovia failed to notify me that my account had been restricted, failed to provide reasonable assistance despite being aware of my circumstances, and created unnecessary obstacles that prevented me from resolving my delinquent loan. Due to this experience, I no longer have confidence in Jovia Financial Credit Union and will be closing my accounts and moving my banking relationship elsewhere
I would not recommend banking with Jovia Federal Credit Union. Based on my experience, they do not do a good job of resolving banking issues or working with their customers to find reasonable solutions. Instead of providing helpful customer service, I found the process frustrating and unproductive.
When problems arise, I believe a financial institution should communicate clearly, respond promptly, and make every effort to help its members. Unfortunately, I did not experience that with Jovia. I was left feeling like my concerns were not taken seriously, and resolving my issue was far more difficult than it should have been.
There are many banks and credit unions that value their customers and work to resolve issues efficiently. Based on my experience, Jovia is not one of them, and I would encourage others to carefully consider their options before opening an account there.
