  I am writing to formally express my concern regarding my recent experience at the PNC branch. Upon arriving shortly after the bank had closed, I was informed by one of the tellers that while the branch closes at 6:00 PM, the ATM remains available for customer use 24 hours a day. Relying on that information, I attempted to use the ATM. During my transaction, however, the machine retained my debit card and would not return it. I immediately notified the remaining staff who were still inside the branch and explained that my card had been captured by the ATM. Rather than assisting with the situation or attempting to resolve the issue, I was simply told to return the following morning. This response was extremely frustrating, as the ATM was still being presented as available for customer use, yet I was left without access to my card and without any meaningful assistance. I believe this situation could have been handled with greater professionalism and customer care. At a minimum, I expected staff to make a reasonable effort to assist me, explain the process, or offer an appropriate solution instead of dismissing the issue until the next business day. Losing access to a debit card can create significant inconvenience and financial hardship, particularly outside of banking hours. I respectfully request that this incident be reviewed and that the branch evaluate its procedures for assisting customers when ATM-related issues occur after branch closing but while staff are still on-site. I also ask that appropriate measures be taken to improve customer service in similar situations moving forward. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.
