  This location is consistently frustrating to deal with, and I honestly hate having to come here to do any type of banking. Every time I visit, the service is either extremely slow or I’m left with the impression that certain employees simply do not want to be bothered. This time, I came in to convert foreign currency back to U.S. dollars after returning from a trip. When I explained what I needed, the teller immediately blew raspberries and sighed loudly and acted visibly annoyed before even attempting to help me. The woman working next to him overheard the conversation and said they could only process the foreign currency exchange if I had a PNC account and deposited the money directly into it. I was literally standing there with my PNC debit card in my hand confused because that was exactly what I intended to do. At that point, I assumed the teller may have been new and waited for the woman, who seemed more familiar with the process. After another few minutes, she told me she had someone on the phone walking him through how to process the foreign currency exchange. Fine, no problem — everyone has to learn at some point. Then I was told they would not accept my €70 because they apparently do not process foreign currency exchanges under a certain amount or denomination. I have exchanged foreign currency with banks before and have never been denied simply because the amount was too low. I also previously worked for PNC and handled foreign currency exchanges myself, and I do not remember this ever being a requirement. What makes this even more frustrating is that I live about five minutes away from this location, yet I find myself having to go all the way to the PNC branch on Raymond Boulevard in Newark just to receive better service. That is honestly sad when this branch should be the most convenient option for me. As for the teller whose name starts with an “S,” I understand that he may be new, and I have no issue with someone needing assistance or being trained on a transaction they are unfamiliar with. However, he needs to be more mindful of his mannerisms when interacting with customers. Loudly sighing, blowing raspberries, making faces appearing irritated when a customer simply explains what they need is unprofessional and immediately sets a negative tone for the entire interaction. Whether the foreign currency restriction is a branch-specific policy, a newer PNC policy, or something else, the overall experience was unnecessarily frustrating and is consistent with the poor experiences I’ve had at this location. Going forward, if I have to deal with this branch for any reason and get a survey?I will be completing the survey after every visit and rating the experience accordingly; Which is a 1 STAR. Because that’s the level of service I get every single time. I would avoid this location whenever possible.

  Doesnt even offer you a freaking chair. When you are trying to give them more business and they make you comdu t business standing up. Hayu naku si kuya… you need to train your people how to give better customer service.
