  The Avenel branch of PNC Bank provided the worst banking experience I have ever had. Thankfully, it is not my personal bank. When my father chose this branch to complete his Power of Attorney paperwork, the staff mixed up the documents between my sister and me. As a result, when my father was hospitalized and we needed to pay his bills, his property tax payment bounced because the paperwork had been processed incorrectly. We had to return to the branch to have the error corrected before we could properly manage his accounts. After my father passed away, the experience became even more frustrating. The branch repeatedly told us we needed documents and legal requirements that, according to both my estate attorney and PNC's own Estate Settlement Department, were not actually required. Both assured me that the branch staff had misunderstood the policies and the applicable procedures. When I shared this information with the branch representative, I was told that my attorney "didn't know PNC's policies." However, PNC's own estate specialist gave me the exact same guidance as my attorney. During an already difficult time, this unnecessary confusion and misinformation created an incredible amount of stress. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding the Avenel branch if possible.

  Went to drop off a check and had a few questions since I just recently opened a bank account. I believe the lady who helped me was Cassandra and she was very efficient and friendly. Thank you for helping me!

  Don’t come here if you want a debit card attached to your spending account. They will attach it to a reserve account instead and make it incredibly difficult to fix, if they ever get around to fixing it

  This bank is a joke! Been here for 30 minutes and no one actually say “ hi how are you sir, what can I help you with “ I work for customer service my self and if the people here can’t do the basics “ of customer service “ than don’t you shouldn’t be working here. The manager here is also a joke! “ bad customer service = closing my account it’s that simple, there are multiple banks that I can go to that will actually greet me! Also if are the type to read reviews than take your time to read them because people are talking about the worst customer service here
