  Always a positive experience, even during what are usually frustrating situations. The competitive dividends on their accounts, are great, but what really makes the difference is the people/customer service. Justin at the 84th street branch, recently resolved a(self inflicted) issue with my debit card that was causing headaches for over a month. He was able find the issue, and have a solution in less than a day. You’ll receive a quicker, and much more focused response from Liberty First than you would a larger national bank, or chain bank. They’ve always picked up the phone, and provided a solution that day for any issues. Justin was also able to answer all my questions, and then some about the Liberty+ credit card, after shopping around a bit, it made too much sense to go with them. Rates for loans, and credit cards beat any issuer I’ve found In Lincoln Nebraska by far. I can’t praise the return rates on the kasasa accounts, and Liberty+ enough!

  Not great service. Not trained well or knowledgeable. Had an issue almost every time I am there. Used to be so good and they have last the customer service side of the business

  I have done business with Liberty First Credit Union several years ago. I was thinking about getting a car loan. That didn't happen and I closed my account when I left Nebraska in 2015. In December 2021, I decided to open an account with Liberty First again. I also benefit from this location being close to my apartment. It only cost me $5 to establish a savings account. What really impressed me is that the branch manager was willing to help me because they were short staffed that day. Not only did she help me open an account, she was willing to give me some advice regarding how to repair my credit score. One idea was to open a secure credit with them and use it to make small purchases every month and pay the balance in full every month. I made a deposit and got my savings account balance high enough for a secure credit card. I also opened a checking account and switched my banking business to Liberty First. The process of opening an account doesn't take a lot of time, and the employee was willing to submit my info for my credit card application for me. I now have an unsecured card with Liberty First after making on-time payments for a year, and my credit score is over 700. Life doesn't end after bankruptcy. Sometimes, bankruptcy is the best way to a fresh start. I have been very satisfied with the app for the iPhone. It makes it easy to check my balance and pay my credit card. However, this location doesn't open its lobby on Saturday anymore. Booo! I won't deduct stars for this, but it sure is inconvenient. I hope this changes. Overall, I have been impressed with the service at this branch ever since I first step foot in it, and I highly recommend that individuals and businesses consider Liberty First for their banking needs. Sometimes, you get better service at a credit union than a bank.
