  I have been a loyal SECU member for more than 30 years and this is my third mortgage with the credit union. Unfortunately this has been the most frustrating banking experience I have ever had. Over the past two weeks I have communicated with multiple representatives and have received conflicting information regarding my mortgage escrow shortage. I was instructed in writing that my 1100 payment could be reversed and applied toward my escrow shortage. I accepted that offer in writing and authorized SECU to draft the remaining balance so the escrow shortage could be satisfied before my August mortgage payment. Instead of processing the request I authorized I was later told something completely different by another representative. Every time a new person joins the conversation I have to explain everything again. No one has taken ownership of my account. No manager has contacted me despite my requests. My mortgage payment is due in two days and I still do not have one consistent answer. I have repeatedly requested one Mortgage Servicing Manager review my account from beginning to end provide one written explanation and complete the action that was previously offered to me in writing or explain why SECU is refusing to honor it. This situation has resulted in unnecessary stress confusion and additional costs including NSF fees that I have also attempted to discuss without meaningful resolution. I simply expected better communication and better follow through from a financial institution that I have trusted for more than three decades.

  would give 5 stars but this place was kinda hard to find, im not from around there but had to go to Baptist, i ended up turning into what looked like a empty office building at first, They need a sign at the road, the only sign I seen said truist bank. but other wise good service

  SECU has always been very reliable. Staff is friendly. Place is clean and well-managed. Happy to have a branch in such a convenient location.

  Once again, I used the ATM at the Stafford location this time, and it took my cash without crediting my account. This is the second time this has happened. I filed a dispute and still never received my money back. At this point, it is completely unacceptable that a bank can take a customer’s money, acknowledge the complaint, and then fail to correct the problem. Apparently, my missing cash paid for somebody’s lunch, because it certainly never made it into my account.
