  Every time I come to this bank the more I understand why there is so much turnover with their employees. The teller Renee is extremely rude and unhelpful and I avoid her at all costs! One day I came through the drive thru to make a simple deposit and she did even turn or bother getting up to assist me! She was sitting on her phone she had propped on the desk watching her show! It took for another teller to come out of the back I am assuming as she was not behind the teller line when I pulled up and was able to help me! The young lady Kelly who I have became acquainted with after working with her on a weekly basis clearly takes pride in her work and does not mind going above and beyond to help customers. Whenever I request to speak to a manager I am told that he’s too busy and that he will get back to me, what a joke! At least when the other manager Damien was here he was useful! I will be pulling all of my money from my account and going elsewhere, not worth the headache and the wait of a one man show!

  I had in abysmal experience at the South State Bank on Falls of Neuse Road today. A teller: 5'07", 160+ lbs, auburn hair just past her shoulders, freckles, wears glasses made it very clear that she wasn't willing to help me at all! I'm new to the area from SC & I'm an independent contractor, not an employee so one of the companies I work for uses echecks, because they can't put me on direct deposit, so I can print my checks off from anywhere, because I travel a lot for work, so it does look a little suspicious if you haven't seen it before. But every teller I've ever gone to has just picked up the phone and verified it, just like the folks at the South State Bank on Glenwood Avenue did today, right after I left this Bank. Nope, she just slid my check back to me & said I'm not accepting this! Go back to your bank in SC that accepts these or get direct deposit.
