Had a wonderful experience at the Village District branch of PNC in Raleigh! My family had a lot of red tape to cut through with an estate account and other things after my dad died. We worked with Lisa at PNC, and she was amazing. Knowledgeable, patient, upbeat -- and she got results. She truly understands what customer service is all about and why it's important. Julia was also very helpful in helping us sort out some issues. A great team!

Today I visited PNC to take care of a simple transaction. Wow…what a disappointment! I have banked there for years and never felt discriminated against until today. The two clerks behind the counter saw me enter the bank. As I approached the counter they continued working as if I wasn’t there, while I stood looking at the two wondering when I was going to be acknowledged. However, what they were actually doing was waiting the other one out. Finally, one caved in and asked, “May I help you.” I informed the clerk of what I needed. She gave me two options. I chose one of the two, then she chose the one she wanted. I followed through on the transaction “she chose” without a complaint. She never spoke to me in a friendly voice, yet, it was a tone of voice of let’s just get this done. As she was taking care of my transaction, another customer walks in of a different ethnic background. She was acknowledged and greeted immediately with a smile and friendly conversation, by the second clerk. The conversation was so friendly that my clerk decided to chime in on the conversation, as she was waiting on me. The treatment was way too obvious, but more disappointing. The clerk that waited on me wasn’t friendly until I was leaving. No doubt about it, some customer service training on how to treat all customers the same needs to take place at this bank.
