  I’ve been with State Employees’ Credit Union for over 20 years, and honestly, I’m at the point where I’m starting to resent dealing with this branch. It seems like every time I need something, I get denied or get completely different answers depending on who I speak with. The inconsistency and constant runaround is exhausting. Today was the final straw. I had a check dated for tomorrow and asked if it could be cashed or deposited. I know many banks will work with you on postdated checks later in the day, and I truly believe SECU has done it for me before over the years. Instead, I was immediately denied with no effort to help or offer options. Out of frustration, I went straight to Founders Credit Union, where I recently opened an account after years of disappointment with SECU. Founders deposited the check with absolutely no issues. Within one week of opening an account there, I was approved for a credit card, and two months later I was approved for a $30,000 car loan — things SECU constantly made difficult for me despite my long history with them. At this point, if it weren’t for my Fat Cat account, I would seriously consider closing my SECU accounts altogether. Loyalty clearly doesn’t matter here anymore. Meanwhile, Founders has consistently treated me with respect and made banking feel easy instead of stressful.

  The branch manager Brandon is really rude and had a bad attitude I have been a member at the Monroe Branch for over 10 yrs and I am closing out all my accounts here I refuse to be treated with disrespect when you have my money in your bank

  This bank atm sucks. The staff are rude after 4:00 pm so I try to use the atm before I have to be at work at 5:00 am or I use it around 4:30 pm. Most of the time it is out of service. I’m glad I have direct deposit but tips are in cash so I have to use the atm like to day 3-14-2022. With gas prices like they are I can’t drive all over just to use an atm.

  Talked to a nasty rude customer service rep otp at the main office, they tell lies and switch things up on you, they only want to help certain ppl, I will be closing my account
