  Our experience applying for a mortgage with FNB was a nightmare. We have solid consistent income and great credit scores and were pre approved with no issues. Halfway through the underwriting process we were told there were delays but everything was going fine. We asked for regular updates from Vincent Sullivan and Katherine Shelton but most of our requests were met with silence or generic responses with no real updates. Our calls were often sent to voicemail with no follow up. When we called the bank directly and asked to speak with someone we were just told it was being worked on but that we were not able to speak with anybody directly. Finally after several calls and texts we were told they had a hard time understanding our pay stubs. My employer promptly provided all the requested documentation explaining our paystubs. The night before our scheduled closing date we received a denial letter at 9PM with no explanation and nobody to reach out to. Even after this, it was impossible to get help from Vincent or Katherine or anyone at the branch until we threatened legal action. Even though they claim to be experienced with physicians loans, they were completely incompetent when reviewing our income and completely left us in the dark with 0 communication and put us at risk of breaching our contract. They also require use of their checking account for a mortgage and their website and app are absolutely terrible and outdated. Thankfully a local credit union was able to get us approved in 2 days without any issues.

  Worst customer service of any bank I have ever dealt with. Save yourself the headaches.. bank elsewhere.

  This bank is really stupid they’ve depleted the money in my account for a debit card that they’ve took over 2 months to send out. They randomly will shut down your checking account without notifying you they’ve done it to me over 3 times was while I was out of the state. They don’t have 24 hour support and the support they do have is useless cause they don’t follow simple instructions Needless to say, save your time and money and don’t ever make an account with this bank
