*UPDATE* I want to make it very clear: this matter is no longer being handled as a simple banking issue. This has become a matter of accountability, and I will be pursuing legal action against SECU and the individuals involved who contributed to this situation. Let’s address the FACTS. First, a branch manager acknowledged that this has been an ongoing issue that they have been trying to correct. This was not a “one-time mistake” ,this was an admitted system problem. Then, instead of taking responsibility for the issue, I was accused of “overspending.” After that, I was told by Johnathan at the Carthage location that although funds may show as available in my account, that does not necessarily mean the funds are actually there yet as a customer, I have no way of knowing that because only the bank has access to that information. That is not acceptable. Let’s also remember this is the same branch that refused to cash my check while I was on maternity leave because they believed it was fake. I took that same check to Southern Pines, and it was cashed with absolutely no issue. Now, regarding the letter I received: Why would I file a dispute on transactions that I verbally explained to your branch associates were valid? I disputed TWO charges. BOTH charges were investigated and determined to be FRAUDULENT , which is why I was refunded for BOTH. I spoke with multiple employees at this branch attempting to resolve this issue before I was finally forced to contact the Raleigh office, where someone reached out and documented my complaint. Only for me to receive a letter stating the charges were valid. Here are the FACTS: 1. Every conversation I had regarding this matter was recorded on TWO separate devices. 2. Every valid transaction is accounted for. 3. I have not used my checking account since receiving my replacement card, yet somehow my account is now nearly $2,000 negative. Explain how that happened. With the documentation, recordings, receipts, and statements made by your own employees — including the acknowledgment that this has happened before and may continue for years due to unresolved system issues. I will be holding the responsible parties accountable. I will not accept being blamed for a failure within YOUR systems. I will not accept being accused of overspending when the issue was related to banking system errors. I will not accept being treated unfairly when I was attempting to access my own funds to pay my mortgage and bills after undergoing a C-section. The stress, time, and emotional distress caused by this situation has been unacceptable. When this matter proceeds legally, all necessary records, communications, and conversations will be requested and reviewed. SECU and the individuals responsible for mishandling this situation will be held accountable. I have the facts. I have the documentation. And I am prepared to move forward. I’ve been more than patient I’ve given more than enough grace

This has to be the SLOWEST most inconsiderate bank I’ve ever been to. I just left from there after waiting 10 mins then pressing the call button just to be greeted when I was the only one in line. I explained to the lady that I need a cashiers check and that took another 5 mins because her and some other girl was talking .... I told her I could use to ATM because I have some where to go, she says I just need a signature. I waiting another 5 mins until I just said give me my card I’ll go to faster bank I have somewhere to be ... moral of the story DO NOT come here unless u have 20 mins to spare !
