I've banked with NCSECU over 30 years. Today, I wanted to discuss getting money to make some improvements to my home. The person I spoke with went over the options of referencing and a home equity line of credit. He patiently answered all of mt questions. I liked the information he gave me.

I stopped by this branch to open a new account and the entire process was super smooth! The staff I dealt with were very friendly. I even forgot my jacket in one of the offices and they ran it out to me before I left. I had a great experience despite the negative reviews 🤷♂️

I've been nothing but a huge fan of this place until I tried to get a used car loan through them. Their inconsistency and inability to communicate is alarming. I was told by three different loan officers three different procedures. They also admitted protocol differs between branches. Crazy unprofessional in my opinion. I called in a vin# and was told I was approved and to bring the title by the bank to get the check. They were aware it was a private seller and approved the VIN number and price. I drove 3.5hrs one way to meet the owner and get the car then go to a secu branch and get check signed over. After taking a day off work, renting a car and driving 3.5hrs one way I am then greeted with many stipulations not one of the three loan officers told me and was told that I was never even approved for the amount! The amount was I've brought up numerous times and they told me it was approved and instructed me on the next steps. Since then I have received a better loan at champion credit Union. I really hope that ncsecu can get this figured out. You're hurting the little guy, not helping. Very dissappointed with my experience. I'm sure you don't care because it's chump change for your bank but I have to let people know how bad my experience was.
