Took over 60lbs of coins (mostly dimes and quarters) in to be counted and was given roughly half of what it should have been. For those who dont know, $300 in quarters is 30lbs, and so is $300 in dimes. Pennies and nickels are more but I had recently added an exact $150 in exclusively quarters to this jar two months before I took it in. Explain to me how the remaining 45lbs of mostly quarters and dimes, but also penniless and nickels, would gibe a grand total of $332. It was taken to the back room and 10 minutes later there was a hand written receipt showing how much of each coin there was and I was not given or shown the receipt.

We’ve been doing basic banking here for almost 10 years. Basic checking accounts were fine - the tellers generally are efficient and know what they’re doing. However, it is nearly impossible to get someone to answer the phone. We began a business financing relationship with FIB last year. The process was slow but fine. This year, I reached back out to Ryan Anderson to amend our business financing. Over more than 5 weeks, he simply could not be bothered to progress our application, communicate, or return MULTIPLE phone calls and emails. He missed 3 deadlines that he set for himself to work on our financing, get back to me, etc. and never even acknowledged it with an e-mail or to say he needed more time. The only way I could get him to respond was to reach out to someone else at the bank, which was also difficult. After the 3rd time he blew off a self set deadline and acted like he didn’t even remember and that I was somehow bothering him, I told him to pull our application. I went over to Bank of the Rockies and they had our financing in place in 7 business days. They are extremely responsive, someone always answers the phone, and they always answer their emails promptly - whether that’s the tellers or the bankers. I have since switched all my banking to BOR. if you are looking for a great local bank for anything from simple banking to personal or business financing, I highly recommend Bank of the Rockies!

We’ve been customers of first interstate for almost 30 years. We have noticed deposits at tellers in Livingston and Bozeman over the past few years being attributed improperly with reduced amounts and always to the banks favor. Both commercial and personal accounts. Literally thousands in deposits with decimal moved one or two places never noticed or corrected by the bank until bookkeeper noticed. Have written the bank and the issue keeps happening. Anyone else seeing this issue?
