  Absolutely terrible customer service. The banking arm is not welcoming and you are not able to speak with a banker without appointment. Father in law had investments there and in spite of dropping off death certificate, will, trustee documents, trustee in person, there's been delays and delays. Person in charge of trust left last September and PNC did not assign another. It's mid-January. We have to be our own advocates. No one tells you anything, calls you. Instead of cashing out IRAs, bank forces you to wait until they open new IRAs for you and then act like used car salesmen diverting you any way they can from cashing out. We're only 10% into the business we have with them to obtain our money. It's a nightmare and they have lost the business of four beneficiaries by their actions. We do not trust them.

  Can you give less than 1 star?! Inept and so slooooow. Already have accounts at this bank but needed to open a trust account for my father to sell his house. He has dimentia and has been living in a memory care unit for a couple years already. We had a letter from his doctor stating he has dimentia, lives in a memory care unit, and "he has difficulty following one step instructions, knows his name only and has not managed his finances for the last 5 years." It took three weeks(!) for their legal department and Will Carson (the banker at the Webster branch) to come back and say the doctor's comments weren't enough to show my father is incapacitated. They said the doctor didn't make it clear that he's incapacitated due to the dimentia even though she stated he's in a memory care unit "secondary to neurocognitive decline". PNC went so far as to speculate that my father might just be lazy and that's why he's not handling his own finances. Will Carson stated: "The current statement of “has not managed his finances for the last five years” isn’t dependent to his current health. They see it as (him) just not doing the task." My father with dimentia is just lazy I guess. Thankfully, as this process dragged on for weeks, and the closing date was approaching, I walked down the street to Chase bank to start the same process. They were wonderful. Using the exact same documents, the whole process took three days. I just can't believe they asserted that my father is simply being lazy.

  I recently switch banks from Commerce Bank to PNC Bank Webster Groves. I have never written a review for a bank, and I felt compelled to share my experience. Drew Conger from PNC Webster Groves is a true professional he got my business account and personal account configured within 30 minutes of arriving without an appointment. It's not just Drew, it's the rest of the team this has got to be "The Friendliest Bank In Town". Walk in there, you will see what I mean, and you will at least walk out with a bag of freshly cooked popcorn. It's also a good example for other businesses who do the right stuff day in and day out.
