  I fell victim to a scammer who hacked my account. I dealt directly with Matt from the Saint Paul Highland Bank branch. He gave me very easy and specific instructions on what to do. He had my old account closed, new account opened, and my money recovered and in my new account in just a few days. Matt moved quickly, is efficient and very friendly. I’ve been with this bank for over 20 years, and this is why. I recommend Highland Bank to all :)!

  I would absolutely give this place zero stars if possible. I have banked with Highland Bank since I was 5 years old, I will be 31 in January. My family has banked here for 3 generations on my mother’s side. This bank used to be a well run family bank but that is absolutely NOT the case anymore. Poorly run, super rude on the phone. Say they will call back and follow up and never do. On hold for 45 min for the simplest of calls. They used to be willing to go above and beyond to find a banking solution for any given problem (and really saved my butt a few times when I was traveling) but now the attitude is completely, “NOT MY PROBLEM.” You get left on hold and completely forgotten about. Most appallingly, one time about 2 or 3 years ago, a teller on the phone I was speaking with was obviously drunk….. I will be switching to a bank that actually cares about client-customer service and relations. It seems like everybody in the area hates this place now. Here is an UPDATE: *I recently had to get a new HB debit card, though I barely even bank here anymore. I set up my PIN, twice, the automated voice says it was successful. However the ATM will not let me take cash out, at all, ever. We called the bank, they don’t know why, don’t seem to care about figuring out why. The suggested sending me a new debit card even though this IS A NEW DEBIT CARD. 🙄🙄🙄*
