- TMT. MartzMay 23, 20261.0Bad experience with this bank. Needed a proof of funds letter for a cash house purchase. Teller refused to write the letter stating that we had enough funds to purchase a house costing “x” amount. She insisted on writing all of our private information in the letter with the full amount of our savings disclosed. The amount we had in the account was twice the amount of the purchase. They do not need to know the total amount of our bank account. They just needed to know that I had the funds to cover the purchase. She refused to write the letter any other way. We drove to the Brighton location and the bank manager agreed with us and wrote us the proper letter. The South Lyon branch is terrible and uncooperative in my opinion!

One thing I don't like is when a bank lies to me. It's my money if I want to withdraw it I can. Funny I went to Brighton PNC and told them the situation and they were confused on how they wouldn't have the money. Needless to say go to PNC Brighton. Also the Manager at the South Lyon location why would you have a customer on speaker for other customers to hear talking about his personal account?
