  I've been a member with Security Credit Union since November 2001. I like the Credit Union as they are so much much better on rates then the big banks. And the personnel are more personable and helpful. Big banks are more fixated on how much money they can make off the members. Quite sickening. I've had a few vehicle loans at this credit union. The only beef I have is the IRA at SCU is not good. I deposited $200 three years ago and it has gone nowhere, $242.40. Gained $2.40 in three years lol. The return is absolutely horrible. Do not sign up for a traditional or Roth IRA 👍🏼. Other then that I recommend this cu to others

  It isn't just this place its sfcu period! You might want to think about another cu. I just had my debit card blocked again because of a fraud alert. Once again the fraud alert was activated over a recurring payment for youtube for $2.99. I get fraud alerts just for using Amazon. I've have had autopay blocked for fraud. I'm very careful how I use my card. I've been a member for over 30 years. Never any fraud! I declined text fraud alert after I tried to pay a tow truck driver in the middle of the night. When my card was declined, I went to the atm-not working. Took me about half hour to figure out what was happening. With the latest fraud alert they said they sent it to my email. NOTHING!!! She said well it shows from our side you got it. What an insult! I could not use my card at an atm or for purchases for 3 days because I didn't have THE CODE. They had a massive data breech over a year ago and waited way after the fact to let anyone know. When I called today I was told I have no choice that they can do this whenever and whatever. I just got back from a funeral up north.. What would I have done if this had happened up north? No code no email! I'm done with this credit union. Think twice before you consider using this cu. The phone representatives are poorly trained too. While I can appreciate fraud alerts these alerts are nonsensical. Fraud alert on autopay- that's crazy!
