  I have been an ESB customer for over 40 years. Next week I have 2 CDs maturing. Not only is the renewal rate ridiculously low compared to current market rates, but I am not eligible for their higher rate CD unless I deposit 'new money'. I inquired if I could simply withdraw the funds and redeposit and was told 'no, that 's still old money'. So basically I'm being penalized for being an existing customer. This is a lousy way to treat people and I will be withdrawing the funds from both CD's next week when they mature and will deposit them with a more customer-friendly bank. Very disappointing customer service and care for clients.

  As a residential real estate investor, I finally decided to jump into commercial properties to see what's it like. It was extremely difficult finding a lender willing to work with me on mixed-used properties. Eastern Savings Bank accepted the challenge and within less than 40 days (normally 60+ days for commercial), was successful in providing me a loan for my commercial property. The Eastern Savings Team was the most experienced and consistent group of folks I've ever worked with in all of my transactions and closings. My main POC, Mr. Scott Freitag, Senior Loan Officer worked with me and communicated with me almost daily via email and text messages to keep me in the loop, advise me and even recommend alternatives when he saw me making decisions that would not be most advantageous for me or by business. He walked me through the entire process and even post closing, we continue to meet and chat to discuss best practices and lessons learned.   This bank is extremely crooked & rootless Do NOT trust any of their mortgage calculations and data.Ask for a statement of the account (list of monthly calculations)each year and have them audited.Including prop Tax & Hazard Ins escrow payts.
