I was scammed out of $200 after someone pretended to be a PNC representative during a fraud alert situation involving attempted purchases in Buffalo, New York while I live in Randallstown, Maryland. I reported everything immediately and explained that I believed I was speaking to an actual bank employee. Instead of helping me, I felt blamed for being scammed. On top of that, PNC took the $200 back from my account and told me I would not be reimbursed. Customers dealing with fraud should be treated with understanding and support, especially when scammers are impersonating bank employees. This experience left me frustrated, stressed, and disappointed with how PNC handled my case.
