My husband and I came into bank to activate our business cards, Jackson assisted and then after talking with him, he explained the great benefits with banking with PNC, not only for our business, but for personal as well. We decided to open a personal account with PNC and Jackson made this process a smooth and pleasant one. He is also very friendly and easy to talk to. She lives in a retirement community and has quite a bit of money since Grandad passed away. Anyway, I went to PNC in Bel Air today to cash the birthday check. I was told that since I did not have an account there, I would have to pay 2.5% to cash the check. I said that my grandmother is 91 years old and has probably a huge balance in her checking account. Perhaps the teller could check the account to be sure her $100 check would clear. The teller said that in order to cash the PNC check at their PNC branch, I would need to pay a 2.5% fee. Needless to say I walked out. BTW, this is a HUGE branch with NO customers in there. The employees looked bored to tears when I arrived. I guess if they provided better service to receivers of their checks, they might have more business.
