Most recently, after my wife and I submitted all of our deductions and other tax information to Ally, Marina saw that we missed several deductions. She let us know, and these additional deductions resulted in a heap of savings and bigger return!
- JZjason zmudaAug 2, 20231.0We turned in our very normal tax returns in early April with the expectation that they wouldn't be done in time for the deadline. They put in an extension. They never actually told us they did until I showed up in person to ask. No email, no call. This was fine I suppose. But now we need to verify they even filed an extension as I was only told that from the receptionist and don't have a receipt of this. It is now August. No calls, no updates. Called many times only to get a recorder. Note, not even voicemail but a 1990s recorder message. No reply. Called several times during posted open business times. Emailed several times, sent an email via the public facing interface on their website. Waited a week, no response. Ended up going in in person to just pick everything up and take it somewhere else. The receptionist was not at all surprised and just apologized. I'm dumfounded. Before you think this event is questionable, please see that I've put in dozens of almost only very appreciative reviews, almost 6 million views. Zero vendetta other than to just warn you that our first and last experience was not even bad. It was a black hole.
