Branch manager Chris Collins and his staff opened the doors to the Nall Valley office on Presidents' Day, beginning a week of excitement and celebration. It was a great Presidents' Day with non-stop customers and people visiting and checking their "winning numbers" for prizes. A radio remote was held in the afternoon. Tuesday brought the ribbon cutting ceremony and the presentation of a Capitol Federal Foundation check to the Blue Valley Educational Foundation, with the gift going toward spring teaching grants and the new BVEF website. Then, came more radio remotes. It was a great way to introduce the new branch to Leawood.
Customers generally enjoyed the food, noting it was fresh and tasty, although there were some complaints about specific items being cold or not prepared correctly.
