This branch is unusable. They are cashless and closed on Saturdays.
First they got rid of the tellers and went cashless. When I asked how am I supposed to do any transactions or withdraw more money that the ATM allows, they sent me to a Glenview location that’s about 1/2 hour away.
Then they decided to close on Saturdays. Now they are only open 9-5 on weekdays, when most people are at work. So I can’t do any transactions and I can’t access my safety deposit box unless I take time off from work. There are plenty of other banks in Skokie that are more customer friendly and I will be switching soon.

My husband and I had an awesome experience working with Tabi The last 2 days. The customer service from everyone was so amazing and much needed after a very difficult and stressful situation. They were even super sweet to my kiddos waiting out in the lobby! Thank you Tabi!!!!

I've been a PNC customer for five years now with little complaints about my bank's services. This bank's staff is on-point in my opinion. Pleasant, welcoming, and will even offer water or coffee if you have to wait. Your welcomed walking in the door and taken directly where you need to go very shortly after stepping inside. Make you feel at home and take care of your needs that brought you there. They also are in no hurry to rush you out the door if you have a list of things you need done, if there is anything you need they want to help you with it. I've had pleasant conversations with their bank tellers who make efforts to look for conversational pieces versus sitting in awkward silence in one of their cubicles.
Allot has changed with the bank since my last review so I figured it deserved an update after a year or so later from the original after the remodel. When I first came to this bank my original impression of it was during a remodel. I am not sure if the bank had just been newly acquired at the time or they had torn down much of the the facility's facade for the remodel, but my original impression was more negative than the new.
Before all the signage on the outside of the building had been taken down when I first visited. My original impression was a nameless office building I had passed up while driving to the bank entirely by accident. I didn't know it was a bank, least of all the bank I was looking for until google maps rerouted me to turn back down the street. The design choice of the building is also a-typical of your average PNC Bank, which was what further confused me.
HOWEVER, this has all changed since the past year. In-fact it was as if the manager of the bank was looking at my review. Which is why I am covering these changes. Which is the bank's visibility has gone up much better since I last visited. The PNC logo is clearly visible on the roof now with the name with a bright new paint finish compared to when it was remodeled. It also has an additional sign facing the street as well for west-bound traffic down Dempster Avenue.
I also swore the remodel team may have taken my comments to heart because PNC has since-then made an additional outlet to their parking lot facing Dempster Street in front of the bank itself. So motorists are no longer forced to take the T-intersection to hop onto Dempster with an option further-away from the Le Claire Avenue/Dempster Intersection which helps if not by too much in heavy traffic conditions if you want to go east-bound down Dempster.
However, despite the bank's efforts traffic to this bank can still be a nightmare in peak traffic conditions for motorists because of its proximity to Le Claire avenue and Dempster without being on the actual corner itself. If you want/need to drive to this bank you can be put at a severe inconvenience in peak traffic conditions. Particularly for those wanting to head westbound on Dempster after conducting their business. I highly recommend to take the access road to Le Claire avenue and turn back onto Dempster that way if you need to head Westbound as fighting against that bumper-to-bumper traffic can be intense without a traffic light there.
Props though to PNC for increasing their visibility road-side on Dempster and even though your commute to and from the bank can still be a hassle they have done I feel all they could to accommodate their customers. If your a nervous driver sort it may still be best for you to head three miles down to 5727 W Touhy Ave, Niles, IL if you don't want to deal with the crazy intersection traffic in peak traffic conditions. Otherwise this is a good bank that practices the standard of customer-first.
