- PPPeter2 days ago1.0I opened a savings account and was told that I would receive $400 bonus with a $5000 deposit. I was not verbally informed by the banker that a direct deposit was required to receive the bonus. I wrote a check for $5000 that the banker accepted. In December 2025, I went to the branch and informed the banker that I had not received the bonus. She said she would contact me and let me know the status, but she never contacted me. When I called PNC customer service in April 2026, they informed me that the direct deposit was required. Yes -- I then saw on the PNC material, which I still possessed but had not carefully read, because the orange and blue PNC flyer was basically unreadable, and I relied on the verbal explanation. PNC has refused to even compensate me any slight amount of interest – they used my $5000 to profit without compensating me at all, which I think is unreasonable. PNC bankers are untrustworthy and PNC customer service is unethical.
