  On-site ATM can’t even properly scan a signed and deposited check forwards and backwards three times in a row without forcing a years’ established Northwest Bank checking account holder to manually type in the entire dollar and cents amount of the clearly written printed text and also shown numerically on the face, plus the physical and digital security features of a check issued by a nationally-known expert debt collector attorneys-at-law office which serves dozens of creditors across the nation from Discover to Capital One to big box retailers like Target and countless others. Don’t tell me in person directly that you won’t count it against my account when I offer to provide any or all identifying information to verify on site and then turning your back to send me a letter stating the exact opposite in a hand typed hand addressed statement denying all responsibilities as a respected banking entity giving the facade of positive customer service but in reality doing the community a disservice by mistrusting my trust and mistreating my kindness to be openly communicative as a consumer. Will not recommend Northwest Bank to any of my friends or family and will be completely open and honest and truthful about exactly why the people managing Northwest Bank cannot put their mouth where my money is. I even opened a second checking account despite the past due balance on a closed account and accepted the fact that it was a debt which I had incurred in the past that was rightfully due in complete honesty. What more could I have done diligently as a consumer towards you as a banker? Nothing, according to you. This is a legal violation of federal law, because Northwest Bank is misapplying the 'Reasonable Cause' exception under Regulation CC (12 CFR § 229.13). Federal law requires a bank to have specific, non-automated, articulable facts to doubt a check's validity. The check in question is a highly traceable legal refund from a national law firm. I personally and unwaveringly proactively offered the branch staff full verification data on-site with the full and undivided attention of the after-hours drive-up teller. Northwest bank's refusal to perform human due diligence, choosing instead to rely on multiple faulty ATM-automated scans to freeze my essential living funds for 7 business days constitutes a direct and unwarranted abusive and non-compliant banking practice. This unjustified hold is preventing me from paying basic bills to live and pay rent for the simple fact that employees have refused vis-à-vis clarification and mitigation of standard banking procedures to do what is lawful and fair.
