- DDD DeatonMay 21, 20221.0I have been banking with Savannah Bank > South State Bank since 1999. We adored Savannah Bank. I work 9-6 Mon-Fri & can not leave for lunch. Just checked ALL the Savannah branches & found South State is no longer open AT ALL on SATURDAY?!? I have birthday checks I need to cash for my teenaged daughter but it appears I can no longer do that. I had a juvenile account for her when it was Savannah Bank but when South State took over, they converted the account to a fee checking account & before we knew it, all her money was gone and the account was closed. I guess I need to open an account for her somewhere else.
