  Alexis was super helpful and patient with us opening a new small business account. We do our personal banking with South State as well and this is our favorite location.

  SouthState Bank has been a solid banking partner for A Jump Above Party Rentals. Whenever we’ve needed help or clarification, their team has been responsive and patient, making sure we fully understand the process before moving forward. Running a small business means juggling a lot, and it makes a big difference having a bank that’s willing to explain things, answer questions, and help simplify how everything works. We appreciate their support and the way they consistently show up for local businesses.

  This is one of the most horrible banks I have ever banked with. Since I've opened an account with this jacked up bank, my experience has been HORRIBLE!! Their entire banking system is horrible. Do better!

  We went through the drive-through to deposit a check. I had my husband present and we both presented our IDs and we both had signed the check. The teller asked my husband to sign the check. My husband said I already have signed the check-there’s two signatures there. The teller would still not accept his in-person declaration that he signed the check. The teller said to me, “Mrs. __ are you sure YOU didn’t sign his name? I need Mr.__ to sign the check again.” Frustrated and in disbelief, we left and cashed the check at our other bank with no problems. I tried to call the same branch we visited to complain but it was only corporate and I was never able to get beyond the automated system. We came back to deposit the cash and I asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor only took up for the teller and cared nothing about his staff accusing long time customers of forgery. Customer service isn’t what it was when this was Georgia Bank and Trust. I will be taking my banking elsewhere.
