  Takes a week to deposit a check. Went to the branch in the town I work in to discuss the situation and they said they couldn't help me and had to go to another town 30 minutes away. Called that branch and they said they couldn't help and I had to talk to the other branch in that town! Called that manager. They said they could help and would work on it and the (the manager would call us back) AND NOTHING. Called and left 2 messages and still nothing. Its been 3 business days. From cleveland ga to cornelia ga this bank is a joke. Zero stars if I could. Glad my money is "holding" (sarcasm)

  Just came to cash a check written from a company that banks with Southstate and got hit with an $8 fee to cash it because I didn't also have a account there although SOUTHSTATE is written on the check. Just one more tacky fee taking advantage of the community. Walmart would cash for $3 and their name isn't anywhere on the damn thing. That's quality service with a smile!

  Went there to get change. After giving the teller my account number, which I have had for 20 years, she said I didn’t have an account. So I gave her my drivers license. Then she told me it wouldn’t help, before finding my account which happens to have the same number I gave her. Then, with an attitude of disgust, she told me I could not get change because I do not have a business account.

  Cannot share my frustrations with this bank enough!!! I set up my online banking and chose paperless billing for both my accounts and still got billed a fee each month. They couldn’t help me in store because they aren’t allowed to pull up my private account and make choices. I would get locked out of my online banking at least every other time I tried to get in. Every time o went in to get help, only one person helping (who was friendly, but couldn’t help me get this fee off) and usually 2 to 4 people waiting. I have waited up to thirty minutes before with only one customer being helped. I closed my account this week and will not be back! Wanted a community bank to bank with, this is not the one!!!
