  I went to use the ATM at this location, and after inserting my money, the ATM displayed “Transaction Canceled” but failed to return my cash. I had to go inside the bank to resolve the issue, and the experience was absolutely terrible. The employee I spoke with was incredibly rude and repeatedly questioned why I didn’t just come inside to deposit my money. I shouldn’t have to go inside a bank to complete a basic ATM transaction. One of the main reasons customers use ATMs is for convenience, especially when they have busy schedules. As a mother of a two-year-old, waiting in line at the bank is not something I should have to do because the ATM failed to process my transaction. To make matters worse, I was told I wouldn’t be able to access my money for another three days and would have to return to the branch, which is 30 minutes away from my home. I later called to ask whether I could come in that day to resolve the dispute or if I needed to wait, and the representative on the phone was just as rude and spoke to me with an extremely disrespectful tone. The customer service at this branch is seriously lacking. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that this was money I needed for the beginning of the month. Because of this ATM issue and the delay in getting my money back, I’m now at risk of having to pay my bills late, through no fault of my own. I understand that technical issues can happen, but there is absolutely no excuse for treating customers with such a lack of courtesy, empathy, and professionalism, especially when they’re dealing with a stressful financial situation. This entire experience has made me reconsider my relationship with PNC, and I’ve decided to close my account and take my business elsewhere. I would strongly caution anyone considering using this branch to think twice, and I certainly wouldn’t trust this ATM after my experience. Customers deserve to have access to their own money and to be treated with basic respect when something goes wrong.
