  Bank has a stop order against a company that I have already canceled services with over a month ago, but still allows payment to fully go through. Takes days to go back into my account just for the company to then resubmit to take that money out again. So the only option is to close the account. Maybe that’s a good idea. I have five accounts here, two business accounts, if I close the account, I’m just going take my business to another bank. Besides this, almost every weekend the ATM does not work and therefore to take cash out, requires one to have to go to a store or to take it out from another ATM where you get a charge and then have to dispute the charge later. That’s what South State at this location states is the solution is to get a charge and then dispute the charge later. No one has time to do that and I’m not going to pay to be able to use ATM on the weekend. This is the only bank that I’ve ever had this issue almost every single weekend where I am not allowed to get cash, sometimes I’m not even allowed to make deposits through the ATM.

  The ladies at this branch are amazing…. It’s the company’s policies. This bank said they will no longer allow me to have an account with Zelle through this bank due to whatever reason they did not give (to which you cannot download the standalone Zelle app any longer due to some legal banking things and privacy….) so now I can’t even pay my bills lmao it’s absolutely hilarious the amount of times a month I’ve had to call them to take off a hold or restriction cause they flag something they deem weird (this is literally the only bank I have down here that I am using) Been with this bank for a year… and pretty sure at this point I’ve outgrown them . Thankful for the great service at the actual physical branch, but every time I call it’s never with a person in the branch—just another representative somewhere else in the country . It’d be better if the communication wasn’t outcalling and could’ve been local. Unfortunately now, I will be looking for another bank. How am I suppose to pay my bills on time when a check in the mail doesn’t cut it much these days ? Some people actually have to plan their rent out which zelle helped that relief, but now I can’t even do that … so so very frustrating.

  A perfect 5.0 with 3 reviews? That should tell you something. I am new to the area and needed some quarters for the laundromat while I’m getting settled. I went through their drive thru, paid the $3.50 transaction fee, went inside and asked the teller to trade her a twenty for a couple rolls of quarters. She refused saying if I don’t have an account there, company policy is we don’t make change. Apparently my $3.50 transaction fee didn’t qualify me as a customer. As petty as this is, I don’t blame the teller. I blame the petty company. I will be changing banks soon as my current bank doesn’t exist in the Keys. I can just tell you it won’t be this one.

  Excellent Customer Service SouthState Bank in Tavernier always provides excellent Customer Service. Recently, I needed some help that required some out of the box thinking, and Adriana and Monica creatively brainstormed a win- win solution. In this day of behemoth banks, and remote or even artificial Customer touch points, SouthState proves that staying local with our banking pays huge dividends.
