  I am very late with this review... A few months ago I needed to get a cashier's check to purchase a manufactured home . I did not have a bank account at a local Bank in Sebring so I decided I would try South State Bank at 200 US 27 North Sebring Florida. (I'M VERY GLAD I DID!) As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with smiles and great attitudes.. I told them that I needed a cashier's check but I did not have an account with them. A top financial sales representative Carla Grieves introduced herself and brought me over to her desk. Carla was very professional and knowledgeable she knew her stuff, it was a very smooth process. She explained everything very clearly to me (I'm an old codger) I was able to open an account and get the cashier's check and got a debit card right on the spot The other two great ladies that helped me were Jodie Marthas and Eza Welkes Everyone actually made me feel important But then I had to go back to being regular me when I left the bank. UPDATE !!! On December 12th I went back to South State Bank to deposit the proceeds from the sale of another home.. Carla was the representative that helped me again!! Carla ordered checks for me and she also helped me get approved for a South State Visa credit card. South State Bank North Sebring is a great Bank and the staff is very professional. I trust them with all my banking needs

  I once again go to bank at this branch and deposit a check, I called Rich at the other branch by mistake thinking it was the branch I was at he said there would be a 2 day hold on my check. I deposit it to find out that the bank put a 7 day hold it is the 5th and won't be available till the 17th. They would not take care of this and will not release the hold. My account here gets direct deposit once a week. It takes the bank 2 days to clear this check why do I have to wait 7 days for it? So my account bounces and they can charge me??

  Been with this bank through three or four different names; the employees have always been competent and kind.
