A teller in Georgia processed a withdrawal slip for $850.00, not our account, not our name? Wrong birthrate! It wasn't like $20.00 it was $850.00 dollars! We moved from South Carolina & thought great we have South State in Sebring! When I went to branch after it was not pending to dispute it, I was told by customer service, she didn't know how to dispute it! After going back & forth for sometime & help from co-workers they figured it out! I asked for thier Corporate Office #...I was told they didn't have a corporate office? Well when I visited the bank next day, the teller gave me presidents name & #! When I called I left a message, I got a call from District Manager that covers Sebring, he was very rude, next thing I know I got a letter to withdraw all my money? Direct deposits (4) and stop all my auto pay (10) and they didn't want me as a customer! I had til May 31 2022! Well we did as told, went to local credit union, made $200.00 for opening accounts! THANK YOU SOUTH STATE! WASN'T THAT HARD TO CHANGE ALL DIRECT DEPOSITS & AUTO PAYS!
DO NOT BANK AT SOUTH STATE! The whole mess was there fault they returned the 850.00 back to my account but deleted all record of it! I happened to take a screen shot of above withdrawal slip! I've never heard of a bank not wanting a customer they made the mistake not us! Bye bye South State! Goodriddens!!!!

As a “runner” of a business that banks at this bank now this is by far the worse bank to bank at. I also have banked personally at this bank but closed my accounts and also had a home loan that was sold after one month which was a real pain. Carrie Crawford Moro is the manager at this branch and she has had SEVERAL great people leave under her watch and is very unhelpful. She is going to lose our business for reasons I can’t discuss publicly. I walked into the branch to do a deposit and not one single customer was in the branch. When I walked in she did not welcome me and was not busy just looked my way (rude). She is an unfit leader/manager to lead a team that will succeed in my opinion. I don’t see this branch succeeding under her leadership. Southstate Bank was better before when they were under different leadership. I love Selena, Carina, Vicki. Isabel is now gone :( but I’m telling you the new leadership in that branch has to go. Carrie is a horrible manager and I don’t look forward to her dirty looks when I make a deposit for the business I work for.
