- AKAmy KAug 19, 20261.0I went into the bank to open a new checking and savings account. The bank teller seemed suspicious and said she would have to ask if they can do that. The teller and banker whispered together for 2 to 3 minutes and then teller said the banker would be with me in 10 to 15 minutes. There were no other customers. So then the banker was very cautious in speaking and requested my car registration as my secondary ID. I told her I didn't have that and why would I need my car registration to open an account? She did explain the 2nd ID requirement but declined to let me use another form of a second ID. She even asked if I drive. At this point I requested to get my ID back and the banker refused holding it closer to her chest. I stood up and demanded it back so I could leave and she handed it back to me after that. Banking regulations require reporting for suspicious activity, cash deposits over a certain amount, etc..but I was profiled immediately without reason and never displayed the amount of cash I was depositing. It was uncomfortable from the whispering to the withholding of my property. I hope your team understands the impact they caused on losing a new customer and making someone feel uncomfortable in their "professional" business.

I haven’t even been a member a month and I’m already ready to close all accounts. This will be my last interaction with this bank fortunately I will be closing all accounts ASAP. Sharon Green was the only highlight of this experience. PNC is lucky to have her.

The teller told me that something was wrong with my check and I need to go back to my employer to get a new one. Was angry, held up, but I'm the end I was helped, realized I had a really e check and was finally helped the way a true customer would be helped. Thank God I did have direct deposit set up so I don't have to visit PNC in the future, what a bad experience for me.
