  I have had marvelous experiences with PNC. Whether through phone or in person, each staff member has greeted me with enthusiasm as well as treating my children kindly. My banking needs have been met with expertise and handled profession and in a timely manner.

  I am writing this to highlight an appalling lack of care and competence at this PNC branch that has severely impacted my elderly grandmother. After my grandfather passed away in May, Social Security accidentally marked my grandmother as deceased, cutting off her life-sustaining benefits. In early June, I brought proof of life directly to this home branch to ensure everything was updated and resolved. The staff assured me that everything was taken care of and in order. For three agonizing months, our family fought to restore her income, making endless calls to Social Security and Medicaid. We finally discovered the root of the ongoing issue: despite our June visit, PNC officially marked her account as deceased again on August 11. Because of this unexplainable error on the bank’s end, PNC continuously declined her incoming benefit payments while we were actively seeking emergency funds. When confronted, the branch manager offered zero apology, zero accountability, and simply shifted the blame back to Social Security. To make matters worse, the manager accused me of "harassing" them simply for calling repeatedly to follow up on a dire, urgent financial crisis caused by their own mistake. While Social Security initiated the original error, PNC fails to explain why they flagged her as deceased in August—months after we personally provided proof of life at this exact branch. If her payments fail to clear this coming week, she will be owed four months of back pay—a critical hardship that was entirely preventable had the staff handled her case with basic diligence and care. If this matter is not resolved immediately, we will be reporting all involved parties to the ombudsman, and local news media. The negligence and callous treatment shown to an elderly widow is completely unacceptable.

  This lady is so unprofessional and disrespectful. I noticed that she picks and chooses who to say “Hello, Welcome” to. She’s professionally insecure in her position and I felt very un invited today at their branch because of her.
