  I had a very quick and amazing visit here. Marilyn (im assuming its spelled like this) was very informative and helped me to setup my online account for my banking app. She figured out why the system was not letting me make an account and showed me around through the app as well. If i ever need to come back in person I hope Marilyn is there!

  I have extensive experience working with credit union underwriting departments. As a Senior Loan Officer, I work with more than 50 credit unions across the country and regularly help customers navigate the lending process. I'm very familiar with the documentation, underwriting guidelines, and stipulations typically required to obtain loan approval. This application was for my own personal vehicle purchase. After submitting my application online, I called because I had not received a response within 24 hours. While I understand processing times can vary, timely communication is important since applicants are often comparing financing options with multiple lenders. The representative I initially spoke with was courteous and transferred me to the underwriting department. The underwriter reviewed my application and stated that I had excellent credit, an 800 credit score, and that the loan was approved pending proof of income and a few additional documents. Although borrowers with credit profiles like mine are not always required to provide pay stubs, I promptly submitted everything that was requested. After hearing nothing for two days, I called to follow up. I left a couple messages for the Underwriting dept. 3 days, I was told my loan had been denied because the credit union does not accept commission income from employment. I asked for clarification since many well-compensated professionals, particularly in sales, earn a significant portion of their income through commissions. I was simply told the decision had been made, that nothing could be done, and the call ended without any meaningful explanation. To make matters worse, I never received a formal adverse action or denial letter explaining the decision. The lack of communication, transparency, and professionalism throughout the underwriting process was disappointing. I had hoped to move my personal banking relationship—including my checking account, savings account, and auto loan—to this credit union. Additionally, because I work with credit unions every day, I regularly refer customers to lending institutions that provide excellent service and consistent underwriting practices. Based on my experience, I cannot confidently recommend this credit union to others.
