We were very impressed with the assistance provided by Jack Schmidt, Financial Sales Representative at SouthState Bank in Ocala, FL. We were looking to open a new account, and he greeted us the minute we walked in the door. We had many questions that he was able to address & answer with ease & patience to ensure us that we understood completely what was available in order for us to make the best decisions. My husband and I Visited today for assistance with a loan issue and checking - was NOT acknowledged upon arriving- blatantly ignored and bypassed completely after waiting patiently for over 30 minutes. When my husband asked the young lady whom graciously greeted the couple that arrived after us- if their was an order in which we can expect to be called , she rudely stated “they know you’re here”- and ushered the well dress couple into her office. After a considerable wait with still no acknowledgement of our presence there -other than when promot d by my husband, of course. We quietly left - not before kindly acknowledging the staff as we departed.
. I consider myself both patient and kind- I love nothing more to give credit where credit is due - I leave positive reviews as much I possibly can. I can not remember my last negative review. With that being said. If you’re looking for personable or even sub par customer service. In my opinion this particular branch isn’t for you.
FYI- I was able to travel across town to the other branch - greeted immediately and helped without hesitation by a customer service oriented gentleman by the name of Brian. If you’re forced to bank with this institution in our area (due to a merger , as I was prior to closing my account today) may I suggest to save your time and take the trip across town where the team members are friendly and without Prejudice
