I opened an account and was able to use it for about three months before it started being compromised by fraud. I had unauthorized Zelle transactions and mobile deposits made that I knew nothing about.
Zelle allowed two fraudulent payments to go through before flagging the third. SouthState also allowed one fraudulent mobile deposit to post and then closed my account, even though I was physically in Florida while my debit card was being used in Georgia.
Overall, this was extremely disappointing. Please be very careful with your login information. If you use SouthState, be aware that hackers are a real issue, and the bank may still close your account even when the fraud was not your fault.

They have great customer service and are always willing to help out with any issues. Jorge and Patty are literally life savers because anytime I have a issue they are always on point, quick, and ready to respond immediately 😊 I just thought I should add in that all the banks employees have great customer service skills.... Never had one issue. Keep up the great work 🥰
