I deposited a check yesterday at 2 pm and got an email stating that I have a hold on the funds for 7 days because I did the deposit on their mobile app and that my account is new. I had chase, bofa and wells fargo and None of them had this issue. I change the bank because I moved and the branch is close to my house. I called and went to the branch and instead of finding solutions the customer service didn’t care. They don’t care. Now I’m behind on my bills because of them. Shame.

Over the years I have closed many manufactured home loans with CenterState Bank. Never had an issue. Great service. South State is an absolute joke. They've delayed our closing multiple times even after they were the ones who gave us a closing date! Horrible communication! STAY AWAY until they get their act together! I do not write negative reviews often because I know it affects peoples businesses, but if you trust South State with your clients and your business, prepare to be embarrassed.
