I’ve been with PNC ever since they bought out BBVA Compass. It has been a wonderful experience and the service has been top tier. We have 6 various accounts and cards and the mobile app is awesome.

What a shame! I had this bank for 20 years as Firstbank. Customer Service turned to crap after PNC took over. First issues with my check deposit at the same company, I have been at for 2 years and same bank. Then issues with getting my money once it was deposited telling me it needed to be held, when if it was done right it would started processing the Tuesday before I got paid Friday. Later issues with double charges on my credit card and not taking responsibility for their system, blamed a business when it was the bank clearly and I verified with the accused business. Customer service was useless at the call center and only person actually helped which was closing out my two accounts 100%. Be aware before using this bank and always go to Community Bank or Credit Union!

I was a 1st Bank customer for 40 years and was always treated with respect and always had exceptional customer service. Immediately following the conversion to PNC, I began to receive atrocious service! The 2 plus hour lines to talk to someone in the bank may have been understandable for the first week of the transition, but the policy changes and customer service (or complete lack of it) began to immediately show. I already knew that the terms on the conversion account for my business checking weren't going to work for me and had planned to close that account after the conversion date, but that became a multiple day process. After trying to get an appointment at my branch to do this, I was put on a list and told that someone would call me by the end of the day and schedule an appointment. That never happened so I called the PNC customer service line to try to close the account on the phone. The representative tried to do so, but ran into undisclosed errors and told me I would have to go into a branch to close the account. She tried to make an appointment at my branch, but found that there was no way to do that, so she made an appointment at another, original PNC branch close by. She assured me that, having an appointment, I would not have to wait through lines at the branch to take care of this matter. That was not true. After an extensive wait, and asking two different people when I would be seen for my appointment, and still waiting afterwards, to no avail, I left. Later that day I came up with the Idea to go to a branch that is in an area of new residential development, thinking that there would be less people who even knew about this branch, where I was able to meet with someone after a short wait and close the account. That was just the beginning of my problems with PNC. Suddenly, I had to present 2 forms of ID to make a deposit. Why? If Joe Blow wants to deposit $500 into my checking account and he has a preprinted deposit slip for the deposit, let him do it! After so much cold, very poor customer service, I made the remark to a teller that I have decided to change banks, and that I can't wait to drop PNC. Her response..."back at ya!" That's not even the last of it! On July 2, I received a letter from a Ramiro Ibanez Gonzales, who is supposed to be Assistant Vice President - NORT MARKET stating that they were considering exercising their rights under law with a Notice of Right to Cure for an account overdrawn by $24, stating that this must be resolved by June 29th. The letter was dated June 8th, but I did not receive it for almost another month. The most ridiculous part was that it was not even my account, but rather my 90 year old father's account. When I tried to call this Ramiro IbanezGonzales, per the phone number he provided on the letter concerning this matter, I got put on indefinite hold and ended up hanging up after 20 minutes. My advice, there are other options out there. Pick another.

First time at a PNC branch since they bought 1st bank. Was fourth in line. 29 minutes to be helped. When I left the line was to the door. Never a good sign when the people in line are all complaining. Two tellers for inside and drive thru. Scan misread a number on deposit slip and instead of just looking at it the teller said "I assume this is an old 1st bank number?" Then even after I pointed out the number was correct he still needed my debit card to make a simple cash deposit to my own account. Inept is putting it nicely.
