  Been a rough transition from the 1st Bank buyout. Wish we would have switched then.

  This was the worse merger ever. I was with 1st bank for 25 years. I went in last week and the wait was 20 min, 2 people in front of me. Only 2 tellers inside along with 1 person standing near the entrance to help people when they come in. It’s the norm now to wait this long or half an hour. My mom waited 25 min in the drive up, she was the ONLY car there. I’ll be going to another bank which has better service and people who care. Beware of this bank! Update: opened an account at FNBO, they look way happier than the employees at PNC. They helped me right away and there’s no wait because there’s at least 5 tellers there. Make the switch everyone.

  I arrived at PNC at just before 1pm and was asked to take a seat. I obliged. I write this having sat in the seat for over an hour and a half at this point. The reason for my visit was rather straightforward: Close all accounts. I've been watching others sit with me at this branch. I feel my lone day off this month wasting away as I sit here, the grinding of the sliding doors a constant reminder of inflow and outflow of people being seen by the over-burdened tellers. I can smell the strong perfumes of many of the people coming in and coming out. But I also see many reach the threshold, look up in the works wrought of a line that stretches to the grinding sliding doors, and they turn and leave. It is a feeling of life fleeting away at every minute I sit in this chair that is growing uncomfortable with time. The harsh wooden armrests push into the nerves on my elbows and make my hands numb if I do not keep moving about like a roosting hen, discontentedly in this nest of harsh commercial cushioning. So far I've stared at the tree next to me for over an hour, looking at it and wondering how it feels day in a day out in this state of purgatory: never to feel the sun upon its leaves or the fresh air that exists outside this climate controlled cacophony of noises from the various machines or that sliding door that grinds on and on and on. I'm hoping at some point for deliverance, I am captive still, and I refuse to leave or come back later as my will to the matter of permanently closing these accounts is resolute. Rather than waiting for a man like Godot, I wait for someone to punch a few keys and to terminate my last ties to this bank, for I am a man in need of resolution so I may never need return here or any branch ever again. It is now closer to 3pm than not. I trust at some point I shall have my freedom. Edit: Mission successful at 3:35pm. Accounts closed, and I left unburneded. Michelle did a wonderful job in getting my account closed and confirmed as closed.

  Every time I come here it is a 30 min wait and that's to talk to a teller I could only imagine if I needed a banker . Two tellers for a line of ten is ridiculous. I guess I will be switching banks this place sucks 😞

  Oh fun, 1st review!! Well I closed my accounts last year at first bank and somehow they still got transfered over to PNC bank. last year i tried to open an account with PNC for a bank bonus and was denied for chex. Also when I tried calling to close my bank account which shouldn't exist they said i had to go into branch to do that and i have a leg injury so getting out is a challenge. overall PNC is a F tier bank.
