I was charged NSF fees even though my account history showed I never went into a negative balance. I asked the branch to review the fees, and Felicia told me that she and her supervisors had decided not to reverse them. I then called Vectra’s 1-800 customer service line, and within minutes they reviewed my account and reversed one of the fees. That left me wondering why the branch couldn’t provide the same level of customer service. When I asked why she hadn’t helped me, I was told it was her decision. From my perspective, that made the experience feel less like an objective review of my account and more like a discretionary decision. My advice to anyone banking here: if you run into an issue, don’t assume the branch is your final option. Call Vectra’s customer service line before giving up. Going into a local branch shouldn’t feel like you’ve hit a dead end when the bank itself is willing to review and resolve the issue. I expected consistency and professionalism from a large bank. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience at this branch.
