  We were with Firstbank for over 20 years. When we heard that PNC Bank was buying Firstbank we checked the reviews for customer service and they were bad. I worked on closing our accounts. I worked 20 hours on the project. Our portal didn't work so that I could see how much was in the bank. We couldn't open an account online with other banks because PNC had already set up accounts for us with no authorization and this triggered fraud warnings. We had to go into the new bank to set up accounts. They finally made me pay off a credit card because they didn't want to wait for a check from the new bank transferring the balance. As a final slap in the face, one of the executives said "I don't care" when my husband tried to talk to him about the situation when we were walking out. Don't use this bank and if you are still with them as a former Firstbank customer consider leaving. Updated: Since there is no way to reply to the owner's comments I wanted them to know that someone from your customer service already called me. They wouldn't discuss anything with me unless I gave them my social security number and address. What? You called me. They are just trying to do public relations. No worries. I just got my interest notification for a part of last month and I got more interest last month from my new bank than a few years at PNC. Thanks for your customer service being so bad that I moved our money. Update 2:Got a credit card account statement from PNC. It was zero balance but this was the whole reason I had to pay off the credit card before they'd give me the rest of my money on deposit. They didn't want to roll over my accounts if we weren't staying. This has been the most chaotic change in accounts I've ever had.

  I was having some difficulty navigating the switch from first bank to PNC so I went in and was assisted by Akkeem W. He was so friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. What a great experience!

  Everything I ever have to do with this bank is a pain in the neck. Employees don't really know what's going on and their website is awful.

  Nothing but good experiences. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Was hard to switch from my old bank but I’m glad I did. PNC is so much better.
