I now live across the country where I have no local Banner branch and was in a bind last minute trying to access funds to buy a home. I called, explained the situation, and not only was she incredibly friendly, but did everything she could to muster up a solution that in the end worked out perfectly. Thank you so much for the excellent customer service.
- HKHunter KeelerJul 18, 20261.0I have lost count of how many times they’ve randomly locked my debit card for no legitimate reason, leaving me unable to use my own money. It has become a recurring problem instead of an exception.What makes it even more fun when your on your only day off is that when they inevitably make another mistake, you’re not connected with someone who can actually fix it. Instead, they hide behind a useless automated phone system that traps you in an endless loop, asks the same questions over and over, and refuses to let you speak to a real person. It’s customer service designed to keep customers away from customer service. A bank exists to do two things, protect your money and let you access it when you need it. Banner consistently fails the second part. I shouldn’t have to wonder whether my card is going to work every time I leave the house or hope they don’t decide to lock it right before a weekend when nobody is available to help. After this happening repeatedly, it no longer feels like an occasional mistake it feels like incompetence built into their system. There is no excuse for repeatedly locking legitimate customers out of their own accounts while making it nearly impossible to reach someone with the authority to fix the problem. I expect mistakes. I don’t expect the same preventable mistake over and over again, followed by a customer support system that seems designed to waste my time instead of solving it. If you value reliable access to your own money, look elsewhere.
