  My mother is 82 years old and lives in England however is a US citizen and has had a bank account with PNC for at least 30 years. I was visiting when she told me she couldnt remember her password. So I said lets call. This was one of the most excruciating phone calls I've made in a long time. No one could help us and we were on the phone for over an hour. Because she lives in another country, they couldnt enter her address, couldnt add her phone number or answer most questions. Get with the 21st century PNC. You mean to tell me they dont have her address after 20 years of her living there?!! The associates we spoke with were wonderful but had no training what so ever. Is my mother the only person living outside of the US that is a cutomer of theirs? It was like getting calling comcast in the 1990's. Because I was calling from my US phone, I got charged $25 for the call. It was pretty absurd.

  This bank is just getting worse by minute.Before when it was BBVA, there were friendly and helpful people working there, but now, I don't even want to go there.  I moved all my accounts to Chase and only kept my business account there which very soon I will close that one too.  Yesterday I went by the drive through and asked for five temporary checks.  After waiting for about ten minutes, she came to the window and said they were out of paper and had only two left.  This shows how terrible this bank is being run, when they don't even do the inventory check to make sure they have everything the customer needs. On top of that I just checked my account and she has charged me $4.50 for the two temporary checks she printed for me.  In the past with BBVA, I have never been charged for temporary checks and most importantly, she did not even mention the charge.  If she would have told me that she was going to charge me $4.50 for two temporary checks, I would not have asked for it.  I cannot wait to close the business account and forget about this bank forever.

  Applied for a credit card but BBVA's back office is failing to show basic reading comprehension: they kept on asking for documents that I already provided and said there is another name on my bill but actually there is not. Disappointed at both the front desk and back office. It has been ~2 weeks since I applied and haven't heard anything from the personal banker for 11 days. Update: the banker didn't bother to submit my application before the promotion ended (even though I applied before that)

  FYI, you can't deposit at the ATM. Switching to a credit union.
