- LLLSep 3, 20252.0This is not totally related to the branch, but this is the only way to leave a review and this is my branch. I have been with PNC for 15 years, since they were BBVA. I recently got a service charge on my savings account. 3 online chats, one phone call to customer service and one phone call to my actual branch and no one could tell me why. I got three different answers. One of them being that I needed to do an auto transfer every month, which I do. I decided if no one could tell me anything I would close the account. The person I talked to at my branch said I needed to come in or I could do it online. I am 30 mi away from the closest branch and I've been ill and I didn't want to go in. So I started online chaos. Three different chats over 30 minutes each and I got nowhere. They just kept sending me snippets of their scripts which had no relevance to what I was trying to do. One agent told me that she had a lot of chats and it was pretty well tough luck for me. On the 5th day I finally got a phone number and talked to someone with sense. Lovely person who took maybe 5 minutes to finally close the account. However, I had to wait on hold 20 minutes just to get to her. I never got any advance notice that PNC was going to charge a fee on my account, they just did it. My son also banks with them and got the same charges with no heads up. This was an incredibly frustrating experience. If I did not have my direct deposit going in there and so many things tied up in automatic payments I would also close my checking account and go somewhere else. I've been loyal for 15 years and I was treated so poorly. Definitely think about banking somewhere else. When you can't even get a straight answer about a $5 charge on your account, that does not bolster one's confidence. Train your people better, PNC!
